Terms
Draft. Provisional draft provisional-0.1, not yet reviewed by a lawyer, not legal advice. For testing with the founders' numbers only.
These terms have two parts: customer terms for people who book through Rosie, and business terms for businesses that take bookings through Rosie. Text messages are also covered by the SMS terms, and your information by the privacy notice.
Customer terms
Booking
Rosie books services for businesses. The business, not Rosfield, provides the service and sets its prices, hours and rules. Rosie does not recommend or endorse a business. It shows businesses that fit what you asked, and you choose. A booking keeps the price, fees and cancel rules it was made with; a change applies to new bookings only.
Your yes
A booking counts only after your clear yes to the exact read-back. A tapback or a reaction is never a yes. Silence is never a yes and never charges you. A new or higher amount, an extra or a plan needs your own yes in your own chat. We keep your yes with the words shown, the time and where you gave it.
Cancellation and no-show fees
Each business sets its own, and Rosie shows them before your yes. One fee per booking, and it never exceeds what you paid now. If you paid nothing now, a fee can be charged to a saved card only with the owner's yes. A booking made after free cancel ends says "no free cancel" before your yes. No fee follows a text sent outside text hours. If you send STOP or ask to cancel, no late or no-show fee applies until a person has reached you.
Payment
Payment goes to the business's own Stripe account. Rosie never holds your money or your card number, and never takes a card number by voice or text. Rosfield charges you no fee. Every charge says what it is for and how to question it. Refunds: what these terms give back goes back; a cancel in time or a business cancel is refunded in full; a charge made twice by mistake is refunded at once; any other refund is the business's call.
Messages and STOP
By giving your number for a booking you agree to booking texts from Rosie at that number. Message and data rates may apply. Rosie sends booking messages only: no offers or ads. One Rosie number serves every business, so STOP stops Rosie's texts to that phone for every business. STOP alone does not cancel a visit. START turns texts back on. Texts that can wait go between 9am and 8pm in your time zone. The full program terms are in the SMS terms.
The AI assistant
Rosie is an automated AI assistant. It gives no health, legal, money, tax, safety or repair advice; those questions go to the business. If a message is wrong, say so and Rosie corrects it.
Limits
Rosie is the first step: it gets the appointment. It does not run the business behind it. [Limits of liability, disputes and governing law: for the lawyer to write.]
Business terms
What Rosfield costs
"Rosfield charges $2 per booking its AI makes for you: a flat service fee, not a share of your prices. Memberships and repeat plans billed through Rosie: 1%, a payment-processing fee."
- $2 for each booking made through Rosie: a text to Rosie's number, the booking page, or the customer's own AI. The business pays it. It is never added to your customer's price.
- It is a flat fee: the same for every booking, whatever the business charges.
- Never more than $49 a month per person, per business, across its kinds of work. A booking with no named person counts for whoever gives the work; with nobody giving it, toward the owner's cap.
- A membership or repeat plan charged monthly through Rosfield pays 1% of each monthly charge instead of the $2, on top of Stripe's own fee. Its visits carry no $2. The 1% is not under the $49 cap.
- A plan paid per visit pays $2 per visit at check-in. A member who pays outside Rosie: each class booked through Rosie is $2 at check-in. You can turn those bookings off.
- Walk-ins and jobs you add yourself are free. Card payments carry Stripe's own fee, paid to Stripe.
When the $2 counts
At the first check-in code, or at DONE if there was no code. No visit, no $2. "I came but nobody served me" counts none. Cancelled and missed visits count none. One $2 per booking, however many visits or days. A free visit that belongs to an earlier booking adds none; a free booking that stands alone counts one. A visit that happened keeps its $2 even if you let a bank dispute go or part of a plan is refunded.
How it is collected: "It comes out of one payment made through Rosie, or goes on the monthly bill. Cash, the business's own way, or a credit: the monthly bill." Never both. [Which payment, and when: to be set.]
Billing
The bill goes out on the 1st (or the next weekday) for last month's $2s, and is charged 2 days later to the card you saved at sign-up. You can question a line first; a wrong line comes off. Every bill line says what it is for. A failed charge gets one pay link. Rosie never retries the card on its own. Unpaid by the date on the link: new bookings through Rosie pause. Bookings already made go ahead.
No referrals, no paid placement, no ranking for money
Rosie runs no referrals and no paid placement. Nobody can pay to be listed first or shown more. Order and matching never depend on any fee: not the $2, not the 1%, not a commission, not a network. Rosie does not recommend or endorse a business. It sends no marketing.
Licences and documents
Licences, insurance and other documents are optional. Rosie never verifies one. It shows each as the business's own word and never says "checked by Rosie". Rosie acts on your word only. If you say a job needs a licence a person lacks, that person is not booked for it. You are responsible for your licences and for following your state's rules for your trade; you confirm this at sign-up.
Refunds and your customers' money
Every customer payment goes to your own Stripe account; Rosie never holds it. Rosie never makes a charge or refund on its own. What the terms give back goes back. Other refunds are your call, and you answer within a day; with no answer, one reminder, and the payment stays. If you close, a single future visit gets everything back; with no visit there is no $2.
Health privacy agreement
A business that gives health care signs Rosie's health privacy agreement before its health work goes live. [Form of the agreement: to be set.]
Who is responsible for which data
Your customers' data is yours. Rosfield uses it only for your business: never sold, never for ads or AI training, never joined across businesses. Someone who leaves or starts their own business takes no customer. You tell us your customers' texting yes for numbers you add yourself; Rosie texts them only after that. You follow your trade's privacy and record rules. Rosfield keeps records and every yes for 7 years, or longer where the trade's rules say.
Sales tax
[Sales tax wording: to be set.]
